The Carib House

The Carib House is a spacious and luxurious, Caribbean style, 5 bedroom villa which can accommodate groups of up to 10 persons. Located on the south coast of Antigua, close to the entrance of Falmouth Harbour and only 5 minutes off the main road, it sits on nearly 1.5 acres of mature landscaping offering serenity, privacy and stunning ocean views.

The perfect get-away holiday home. Totaling five bedrooms, the main house features three very generous, beautifully finished bedrooms. The master bedroom enjoys a private terrace, with picture postcard views overlooking Falmouth Harbour. Two further bedrooms in the main house, are delightfully bright and cool and share a family bathroom, which features a stunning large open greenstone shower. Entering the main house up an impressive stone staircase, the fabulous main entrance transports you into a tropical oasis, leading into a spacious handcrafted open plan kitchen, featuring a stunning one-of-a-kind, varnished, mahogany breakfast bar. The living area, the heart of the house, accented with Trinidadian mahogany beams, and natural limestone floors, flows effortlessly onto the expansive verandah. A garden bedroom, situated underneath the magnificent L-shaped verandah of the main house, provides a complete private space, offering it's own kitchen and bathroom, and a shaded terracotta-tiled terrace for dining and relaxing. A fifth and equally sumptuous bedroom is situated in an independent, poolside cottage, featuring a luxurious en-suite bathroom and it's own wrap-around verandah. The main house is complemented by a sizeable pool area and sun deck, built from local stone. Carved from the hillside, impressive natural stone terraces create the most unique sunbathing spot, adding to the properties charm and character. Cocktails and sunsets can be enjoyed in the shade of the poolside Gazebo, which offers spectacular views out towards Montserrat and Guadeloupe.

The property was built to take full advantage of the natural Caribbean breeze, and features classic wooden shutters throughout, which take full advantage of this fundamental characteristic. Nestled within almost two acres of beautifully landscaped tropical greenery, the open-air architecture affords for the ultimate in understated luxurious outdoor living. Rental Information

A minimum stay of 14 nights is required over the Christmas period and 10 nights during Antigua Sailing Week.

The rates shown are based on up to 6 guests. Additional guests are charged US$125 per person, per night, up to a maximum occupancy of 10 guests. Children under 2 years of age stay free of charge and are not included in the maximum occupancy, although a maximum of two cots can be provided. Children aged 2 to 12 years above the base occupancy of four guests are charged US$100 per child, per night.

Accommodation

The villa features a spacious master bedroom with a king-size oak bed, en-suite bathroom, private balcony, air conditioning, and ceiling fan. A separate cottage offers a wrought-iron four-poster king-size bed, en-suite bathroom, wraparound verandah, and beautiful views across the swimming pool to the Caribbean Sea. The Garden Apartment includes a king-size wrought-iron bed, en-suite bathroom, kitchen, covered sitting and dining area, air conditioning, and ceiling fan.

The fourth and fifth bedrooms can be configured with either twin beds or a king-size bed and share a bathroom. Both rooms are equipped with air conditioning and ceiling fans.

The home also features an open-plan sitting and dining room, a fully fitted kitchen with high-end appliances and mahogany worktops, and a second sitting area furnished with large Indonesian bamboo sofas and wrought-iron armchairs, opening onto a terrace ideal for alfresco dining.

Outside, a private swimming pool is surrounded by approximately 2,000 square feet of natural stone patio, creating an exceptional outdoor living space. The pool area includes a landscaped green stone island, a gazebo with bamboo seating and cushioned terraces, and a discreetly screened outdoor shower, providing the perfect setting for relaxation and entertaining.
